Colonel By was recognized as a national leader in integrating IT in Education by being awarded acceptance into the Network of Innovative Schools in 2001 and continues to demonstrate leadership in IT by mentoring schools from across Canada and around the world including Denmark, Holland, Chile, Thailand, Brazil, Argentina, Trinidad & Tobago, Kenya, and China.

Colonel By provides both students and staff with a variety of IT services and opportunities including a school-wide wireless network, web design and hosting, access to digital video production studio and equipment, digital audio production, DVD production and replication, and most recently with the support of the CRC both Isabel and H323 Videoconferencing facilities.

CougarMedia

Cougar Media is Colonel By's new media and design team. It includes Cougarvision, Canada's first all-digital televison station, which broadcasts a daily morning show throughout the school. In addition CougarMedia complete contracts for national and international businesses and organizations for the production of corporate digital video production, web design, 3d-animation, and graphic design including recent productions for CGI,The Inter-American Development Bank, Rogers, and MLM.
