Information Technology and Business Department

Technological innovation influences all areas of life, from the actions of individuals
to those of nations. It addresses basic human needs and provides the tools and
processes required for the exploration of both the known and the unknown world.

Colonel By Secondary School offers four streams of Technological Education; Communication Technology, Design Technology, Computer Programming,
and Business Technology as well as an Interdisciplinary Course in
Journalism and New Media.


In addition Colonel By provides both students and staff with a variety of IT services
and opportunities including a school-wide wireless network, web design and hosting,
access to a digital video production studio and equipment, digital audio production,
DVD production and replication, International Videoconferencing facilities,
award winning CougarVision and much more.
